008: The Art of Compromise for a More Fulfilling Life
Jun 02, 2024The thread of last weeks posts was compromising to move yourself along in life, that’s right, not always winning the compromise to move your life along, and that way you can have other share the journey with you.
Last Monday health post, gave a tip you only have so much energy in a day, you don’t have to win every battle that is in front of you, don’t sweat the small stuff don’t wear yourself out with the small stuff compromise to deal with the most significant battle in your day.
After a while, the small stuff, the medium stuff and even even the large stuff you’ll develop coping skills. The quote is a quote that is something I teach in my stress management lectures that’s very important. Stressful situations happen it’s how we react to that that matters: "It's not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters." -Epictetus
This Wednesday, my success skills post, it pertain to compromising in your own internal dialogue. You may have gone on a career path that for some reason was not the best and you need to pivot and compromise the vision of your goal, but not drastically change it.
Wednesday’s quote was my favorite of the week, "Your life changes the moment you make a new, congruent, and committed decision." - Tony Robbins
My Friday post, my life enrichment post , or self-fulfillment, I reaffirm the concept that I found to be enriching in my life , once you strive to make lifelong friends, they can support me support.
My Friday post, my life enrichment post, I talked about in regard to conflict resolution it’s not about winning. It’s about finding a solution that works for both. I believe our current society and our role models and our social media posts - It’s all about being bravado and using this to win your battles. Bravado certainly has its place, but sometimes it’s better to compromise in conflict resolution. Friday’s quote is from one of the best guitarist ever who brought a lot of harmony and peace to the world , is advice works in the context of conflict resolution, "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace." - Jimi Hendrix
